HydraFusion expands its multi-model approach to VS Code

GitHub announced the expansion on September 30. HydraFusion coordinates models through direct execution, a draft-and-escalate workflow, or drafting followed by an independent model critique and revision. The release also adds clearer progress reporting. Access depends on client versions and, for managed accounts, preview settings.

Choosing how models work together may matter as much as choosing a single model. The useful comparison is completed-task quality, latency, and cost across an entire workflow. Research-preview availability should not be mistaken for a settled performance advantage on every codebase.
