What happened
Canva introduced Craft on October 22. Its architecture first plans objects, layout, hierarchy, and lettering, then renders the image. Canva says its training places particular emphasis on designed templates rather than photographs alone.
The company lists output up to 2K, multiple aspect ratios, and lettering in 55 languages. Its developer announcement confirms Craft in Dream Lab and the Connect API, where craft_v1_2k selects the model. Announced faster variants remain upcoming products.
