What happened
Anthropic announced on October 22 that it is donating Agent Skills to the Agentic AI Foundation under the Linux Foundation. The transfer includes the name, logo, GitHub organisation, and domain.
The standard packages procedural instructions and supporting materials in folders. Anthropic says contributors from several AI companies will maintain it as individuals, and proposes versioned releases, a formal proposal process, and security guidance.
