CheaperInference Scam Review? How to Check Routing and Your Final Bill
cheaperinference.com · Evidence-led buyer guidance, not an allegation of fraud.
CheaperInference presents an OpenAI-compatible API that routes eligible requests among providers. Its documentation says the public catalog shows current model prices and that a fallback route can change the final charge, subject to its stated ceiling against the model maker's direct list price. That means the displayed discount is a starting point, not a substitute for inspecting settled usage.
Test the exact model ID, prompt size, caching settings, and retention route your application needs. Then compare the actual billed cost in the dashboard with the same workload sent directly to the model provider. Also test time to first token and failure behavior when a preferred route is unavailable. The available product documentation does not support calling the service a scam; the practical risk is assuming that every request will take the cheapest advertised route.
For a different multi-model option, see Roseram. It advertises up to 80% savings in selected scenarios, but plan allowances and API token costs are not interchangeable.
