CUSTOMER ACCOUNT / ATTRIBUTED EVIDENCE
What this case establishes
This is a commercial publisher’s customer account. Roseram checked the source and wrote the analysis; it did not interview the customer, run the product, audit the figures or establish that AI caused the reported business result. The pilot below is a proposal, not a completed experiment.

Chronograph: the documented workflow
Anthropic describes Chronograph using Claude across its organization for knowledge, dashboards and operational tasks. The account reports high adoption and earlier new-hire contribution. Those are customer/publisher observations; logging in daily or producing a dashboard does not establish that the information is accurate or that access boundaries remain correct.
The mechanism worth examining
Onboarding often requires finding the person, document or system that explains an unwritten convention. An assistant can reduce that search burden by making approved knowledge easier to navigate. It should identify the source owner and revision so the new hire can challenge an answer. A useful explanation helps someone complete a real task rather than replacing a human relationship with confident internal folklore.
The implementation decision
Select one role-specific onboarding task and a bounded set of approved documents. Define what the employee should know and which records they must not access. Include a stale document to test precedence. Measure correct task completion and time spent seeking clarification rather than the number of assistant sessions.
Where the workflow can fail
Internal material may contain conflicting policies, old instructions or private data from another team. The model can blend them into an apparently authoritative answer. Require source references and a route to the owner when documents disagree. Test a new employee’s restricted identity instead of using an administrator session that masks permission errors.
A practical evaluation, designed for this use case
Ask test participants to complete the same safe onboarding task with and without assistance. Compare factual errors, missing steps and access-denied behavior. Have the document owner validate the final explanation. Interpret results in light of task familiarity and cohort differences; a small pilot should not claim to reproduce a company-wide ramp-time result.

The decision matrix
Original evaluation criteria for this workflow. These are questions to test, not results measured by Roseram.
| Decision | Evidence to collect | Stop or revise when |
|---|---|---|
| Useful adoption | Correct role task completed | Daily use is called productivity |
| Freshness | Owner and version identified | Old instructions override current policy |
| Access | New-hire identity tested | Admin access hides data boundaries |

Questions this case answers
Does broad adoption prove useful work?
No. Use and accepted outcomes are separate measures.
Why test a restricted identity?
It exercises the access boundaries a real new hire will encounter.
