CUSTOMER ACCOUNT / ATTRIBUTED EVIDENCE
What this case establishes
This is a commercial publisher’s customer account. Roseram checked the source and wrote the analysis; it did not interview the customer, run the product, audit the figures or establish that AI caused the reported business result. The pilot below is a proposal, not a completed experiment.

Rogo: the documented workflow
Anthropic’s Rogo interview describes financial workflows using several models and an orchestrator, with evaluation focused partly on PowerPoint and Excel artifacts. The account argues that correctness depends on specialty and context. Its reported query and user figures are not evidence that a generated model or deck is suitable for a particular financial decision.
The mechanism worth examining
A financial artifact has structure as well as prose: formulas, units, references, assumptions and a presentation hierarchy. A convincing paragraph can sit above a broken calculation. Evaluate the artifact in the format used by the team and make the assumptions inspectable. The reviewer should be able to trace a value from source through transformation to the output rather than reverse-engineer the model’s intent.
The implementation decision
Choose a synthetic reporting task with a known reference workbook and audience. Define accepted ratios and presentation conventions. Separate model evaluation from consequential investment decisions. A useful comparison asks which errors matter for the deliverable, not which model produces the most sophisticated-looking explanation.
Where the workflow can fail
The agent may choose inappropriate peers, hard-code a value where a formula belongs or display rounded figures that no longer reconcile. Test missing inputs and unit changes. Inspect output files directly, including formulas and hidden assumptions. When a metric cannot be derived from the supplied evidence, the artifact should show the gap instead of inventing a reasonable-looking number.
A practical evaluation, designed for this use case
Score factual extraction, calculation integrity, formatting and reviewer effort independently. Use a reference answer created before generation and include a case with incomplete data. Compare revisions after a changed assumption. The result identifies a useful artifact workflow without claiming that a broad model benchmark proves financial expertise.

The decision matrix
Original evaluation criteria for this workflow. These are questions to test, not results measured by Roseram.
| Decision | Evidence to collect | Stop or revise when |
|---|---|---|
| Calculations | Formula and unit checks | Numbers look plausible but fail reconciliation |
| Domain fit | Approved ratios and audience | Generic analysis ignores task convention |
| Missing evidence | Unknown values identified | An unsupported estimate is presented as fact |

Questions this case answers
Is a well-formatted deck evidence of correct analysis?
No. Source support, calculation and assumptions need separate checks.
Can a generic benchmark settle a financial-model choice?
It may inform discovery, but task-specific artifacts and error costs determine fit.
