CUSTOMER ACCOUNT / ATTRIBUTED EVIDENCE
What this case establishes
This is a commercial publisher’s customer account. Roseram checked the source and wrote the analysis; it did not interview the customer, run the product, audit the figures or establish that AI caused the reported business result. The pilot below is a proposal, not a completed experiment.

Ramp: the documented workflow
Anthropic’s Ramp account describes Claude Code in engineering workflows and attributes rapid development examples to the team. These are customer-reported experiences, not a controlled result for every developer or task. A claim about frequent usage does not itself establish a reduction in defects, costs or release time.
The mechanism worth examining
Adoption becomes valuable when the tool fits existing work: source navigation, focused edits, tests and review. Teams may need conventions for which tasks are good candidates and how results are checked. That operating pattern can matter as much as the model. A successful rollout gives engineers a repeatable way to inspect work rather than a target to maximize prompts or generated code.
The implementation decision
Choose representative maintenance, feature and investigation tasks, then measure them separately. Retain code-owner review and the release contract. Provide guidance for missing-source or blocked tasks so the agent can ask a useful question instead of continuing indefinitely. Include a budget for usage and senior review; unrestricted experimentation should not be mistaken for a sustainable operating model.
Where the workflow can fail
High adoption can hide repeated retries or work that never reaches acceptance. Developers may also select easy tasks for the assistant and leave difficult work out of the comparison. Keep unsuccessful attempts and task-complexity notes. Inspect whether an apparent speedup comes from smaller patches, changed staffing or fewer checks rather than from the assistant itself.
A practical evaluation, designed for this use case
Use an accepted-task ledger with time spent preparing, generating, reviewing and repairing each result. Compare similar tasks and report uncertainty where assignment is observational. Track escaped regressions and follow-up maintenance. The goal is to identify specific work where assistance improves the complete delivery path, not to turn company enthusiasm into a universal productivity promise.

The decision matrix
Original evaluation criteria for this workflow. These are questions to test, not results measured by Roseram.
| Decision | Evidence to collect | Stop or revise when |
|---|---|---|
| Adoption | Usage and accepted tasks separate | Activity volume becomes delivery value |
| Comparison | Task scope and failures retained | Only easy wins enter the pilot |
| Sustainability | Usage and reviewer costs counted | Initial experimentation defines the budget |

Questions this case answers
Is adoption a useful measure?
Yes, as an intermediate behavior. It should be accompanied by accepted work and quality outcomes.
Can a vendor story prove a team-wide speedup?
It suggests a workflow worth testing; your task mix and controls require a local evaluation.

Operator takeaways
- Measure stages separately.
- Include failures and task selection.
- Count total delivery effort.
