CUSTOMER ACCOUNT / ATTRIBUTED EVIDENCE
What this case establishes
This is a commercial publisher’s customer account. Roseram checked the source and wrote the analysis; it did not interview the customer, run the product, audit the figures or establish that AI caused the reported business result. The pilot below is a proposal, not a completed experiment.

Radisson: the documented workflow
OpenAI’s October 2026 account describes Radisson’s ChatGPT plugin, developed with Accenture, for finding, comparing and booking hotels. It reports an early conversion comparison of roughly 1.5 times organic search during July–August 2026. Different channel cohorts do not establish causation. Advertising-attributed events are also distinct from incremental bookings caused by advertising.
The mechanism worth examining
A conversational search captures constraints such as dates, location and room needs. A booking requires those constraints to survive the handoff, with current availability and the actual rate conditions. The user should see whether a recommendation is a broad match or a presently bookable option. An assistant’s remembered description cannot substitute for the reservation system’s live inventory.
The implementation decision
Test a narrow set of hotel searches using permitted test data and the documented inventory interface. Carry dates, occupancy and selected room information into the booking step. Display taxes, cancellation conditions and any known fee uncertainty before the user commits. A discovery pilot should stop before making a real paid reservation.
Where the workflow can fail
An unavailable room can remain in the conversation, or a handoff may reset dates and show a different price. Location recommendations can also overlook accessibility requirements. Include sold-out inventory and a changed rate in the test. The system should explain the mismatch and request a fresh selection rather than preserve a misleading promise.
A practical evaluation, designed for this use case
Compare conversational recommendations with the underlying search result at the same time. Measure correct constraint handling, handoff continuity and abandonment causes. If analyzing conversion, define the event and cohort before comparing channels. Track cancelled or failed bookings separately; a checkout event is not necessarily a completed stay or recognized revenue.

The decision matrix
Original evaluation criteria for this workflow. These are questions to test, not results measured by Roseram.
| Decision | Evidence to collect | Stop or revise when |
|---|---|---|
| Inventory | Availability checked at handoff | The recommendation is no longer bookable |
| Price | Rate conditions survive selection | Checkout reveals an unexplained different offer |
| Attribution | Event and cohort defined | Channel association is called causal lift |

Questions this case answers
Does the channel comparison prove causal uplift?
No. A cohort comparison is not the same as a controlled experiment.
Can a checkout event be counted as a completed stay?
Not automatically. Use a clearly defined lifecycle and cancellation handling.
