CUSTOMER ACCOUNT / ATTRIBUTED EVIDENCE
What this case establishes
This is a commercial publisher’s customer account. Roseram checked the source and wrote the analysis; it did not interview the customer, run the product, audit the figures or establish that AI caused the reported business result. The pilot below is a proposal, not a completed experiment.

Qonto: the documented workflow
Anthropic’s Qonto account describes agents preparing transfers, invoices and payroll-related work using Claude through Amazon Bedrock. It says the customer gives final approval before money moves or invoices are sent. Reported speed improvements concern those workflows, not permission for an assistant to execute a financial action without the account owner.
The mechanism worth examining
Preparation removes repetitive lookup and entry while approval preserves responsibility for the actual commitment. The review surface should expose beneficiary, amount, currency, date and source evidence in a form the user can understand. A generic confirmation is insufficient if it hides the details that could be wrong. The value lies in a shorter path to an informed decision, not in eliminating that decision.
The implementation decision
Pilot draft-only operations using synthetic invoices and test beneficiaries. Define which fields must be verified and how a changed amount invalidates an earlier approval. Keep the final execution mechanism outside the model’s conversational claim. A user should be able to reject or revise the draft without the system interpreting that interaction as consent to proceed.
Where the workflow can fail
A duplicate input can create two payment drafts or a stale approval can apply to a changed beneficiary. Link approval to an exact reviewed revision and use idempotency around submission. Test currency, decimal and missing-reference cases. Do not treat an invoice generated on screen as a delivered invoice or a prepared transfer as completed payment.
A practical evaluation, designed for this use case
Compare draft fields with a known reference, then change one material value and verify approval must be renewed. Exercise duplicate events and cancellation. Measure preparation effort and review accuracy separately. No live transfer is needed to test this interaction design; authoritative execution and settlement remain separate operational gates.

The decision matrix
Original evaluation criteria for this workflow. These are questions to test, not results measured by Roseram.
| Decision | Evidence to collect | Stop or revise when |
|---|---|---|
| Approval meaning | Exact details reviewed | A vague Yes approves hidden changes |
| Revision control | Material edits invalidate approval | Old consent authorizes a new beneficiary |
| State reporting | Draft/sent/paid distinct | Prepared work is called completed payment |

Questions this case answers
Does agent preparation authorize payment?
No. Final approval and execution belong to the designated account owner and financial system.
Why bind approval to a revision?
It prevents a previously reviewed draft from authorizing materially changed details.
