CUSTOMER ACCOUNT / ATTRIBUTED EVIDENCE
What this case establishes
This is a commercial publisher’s customer account. Roseram checked the source and wrote the analysis; it did not interview the customer, run the product, audit the figures or establish that AI caused the reported business result. The pilot below is a proposal, not a completed experiment.

Postman: the documented workflow
Anthropic’s Postman account describes Agent Mode reading and writing API collections, tests, specifications and related code, with integrations through Amazon Bedrock and Claude tooling. The published adoption and time-saved figures are attributed claims. The useful technical question is whether related artifacts remain consistent when an endpoint changes.
The mechanism worth examining
API drift arises when an implementation, schema, example and generated client tell different stories. An assistant with access to all four can propose a coherent update, but only if a source of truth is declared. Decide which artifact owns the contract and which are derived. Otherwise the agent may make every file agree by rewriting the specification to match a bug, rather than preserving the behavior consumers were promised.
The implementation decision
Begin with one versioned endpoint and a representative consumer. Include authentication, invalid input and a backward-compatibility requirement. Provide a local or test environment rather than production tokens. Ask the agent to list which artifacts need updating before it edits. Keep destructive requests disabled unless the pilot explicitly requires a disposable resource and its cleanup path is documented.
Where the workflow can fail
An example response may be valid JSON but violate the schema or omit a real error case. A generated test can exercise a mock endpoint rather than the deployed implementation. Inspect request destinations and environment-variable selection before running the collection. If the server and specification disagree, report the conflict instead of silently changing both until a superficial check turns green.
A practical evaluation, designed for this use case
Introduce a controlled contract change, update the implementation independently and ask the assistant to reconcile tests, examples and client usage. Run the collection against the test server and validate returned schemas. Use an old client fixture to verify the compatibility decision. Record stale artifacts found, incorrect updates and maintainer effort through acceptance.

The decision matrix
Original evaluation criteria for this workflow. These are questions to test, not results measured by Roseram.
| Decision | Evidence to collect | Stop or revise when |
|---|---|---|
| Contract authority | Source of truth declared | Specification is rewritten to excuse a bug |
| Execution target | Test server and credentials verified | Collection reaches production unexpectedly |
| Artifact consistency | Schema, tests and client agree | Examples pass while real responses fail |

Questions this case answers
Does an updated OpenAPI document prove the endpoint works?
No. The implementation must be exercised and its response checked against the intended contract.
Why inspect request destinations?
Collections can use environment values that point to a different system than the one the reviewer intended to test.
