CUSTOMER ACCOUNT / ATTRIBUTED EVIDENCE
What this case establishes
This is a commercial publisher’s customer account. Roseram checked the source and wrote the analysis; it did not interview the customer, run the product, audit the figures or establish that AI caused the reported business result. The pilot below is a proposal, not a completed experiment.

Chatbase: the documented workflow
Anthropic describes Chatbase using Claude for personalized support across channels including web chat and messaging services. It reports adoption and geographic context. Those business measures do not show that every channel has the same permissions, account identity or reliable handoff behavior.
The mechanism worth examining
A customer may start in web chat and later ask the same question in a messaging app. If channels use different knowledge revisions or identity assumptions, the answers can conflict. Design a common approved policy layer while treating channel-specific authentication separately. The system should know when it can answer a general question and when it needs a verified account context.
The implementation decision
Choose two channels for a controlled comparison and use the same policy fixture. Decide how a case can be linked across channels without exposing private account data. Keep tone customization subordinate to factual consistency: a friendly short reply must retain the limitation that appears in the longer web answer. Define which channel supports escalation and how the customer reaches it.
Where the workflow can fail
An agent may accept a messaging display name as account identity or expose a record because an earlier web session was verified. Do not transfer authority automatically across channels. Test conflicting answers after a policy update and a user switching devices. A consistent brand voice is useful, but it does not compensate for incorrect policy or missing access controls.
A practical evaluation, designed for this use case
Ask identical, ambiguous and account-specific questions in both test channels. Compare policy facts, uncertainty and handoff paths. Update the policy once and check propagation. Track repeated contacts and the time required to keep channel configuration aligned. This evaluates customer continuity rather than equating adoption growth with support quality.

The decision matrix
Original evaluation criteria for this workflow. These are questions to test, not results measured by Roseram.
| Decision | Evidence to collect | Stop or revise when |
|---|---|---|
| Consistency | Same policy revision used | Channels answer from conflicting sources |
| Identity | Channel-specific verification | Display name becomes account authority |
| Continuity | Handoff and case linking defined | Customer repeats private context unnecessarily |

Questions this case answers
Can authority from one channel carry into another?
Only through a deliberately verified identity design, not merely a matching name.
What is more important than identical wording?
Consistent facts, limitations and authorized actions.

Wiki brief
Chatbase is examined here for consistent support across channels. The article answers “How can an AI support agent stay consistent across chat and messaging?” using linked primary material and original evaluation design. It is not a customer testimonial for Roseram or an endorsement by Chatbase.
Operator takeaways
- Share facts, not assumed authority.
- Test policy propagation.
- Preserve exceptions across tone changes.
