FREE LESSON 6 OF 8 · BEGINNER

Find a small group you can help

Test your idea with free, focused steps instead of chasing everyone.

Go where the problem lives

An audience is a group of people with a shared need. “Everyone online” is too broad. “Local dog walkers who need a booking page” is easier to understand and reach.

Read a small forum, group, or local board. Learn its rules. Notice the words people use and the questions that come up. Be helpful before asking for attention. Do not flood groups or send unwanted private messages.

Treat feedback like clues

Ask about a real problem, not just whether your idea is cool. What do people do now? What is slow or hard? What have they tried? Let them say no.

A landing page is one page with one clear next step. Show your offer and a sample. Ask for a visit, a reply, or a signup with clear consent. A few replies are clues, not proof of a whole market.

Try these steps

  1. Name one small group and one need.
  2. Read the rules and listen to real questions.
  3. Share a useful sample where allowed. Ask what is unclear.

A real-world example

A piano teacher tests a practice planner in a music-teacher group. A cook tests a meal list with busy parents. A game tool belongs with players of that game, not in every large social feed.

Ask AI for help

Copy this prompt into the tool you use. Fill in the blanks. Check what it gives you.

My idea is ___ for ___. Suggest three small places to learn about this need. Help me write a polite feedback request that follows group rules and makes no sales claim.

Your turn

List three places where your audience spends time. Write one question you could ask there.
