Ad privacy

Roseram’s audience measurement counts visits, visible widget impressions and clicks. On Roseram, measurement is allowed by default when enabled in site settings, unless you have opted out or your browser requests privacy. Participating third-party sites ask their own visitors before measurement starts. General promotional widgets can appear without this measurement.

Your choice

Change your measurement preference

Use the “Ad privacy” control at the bottom of the site. If measurement is on, “Opt out” stops collection and requests deletion of this browser’s audience record and its recorded events. If the network is unavailable, deletion retries when you return. Declining stores only your choice.

Browser privacy signals

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track requests disable this measurement. These choices affect this Roseram measurement system, not every third-party service.

What is recorded

A random identifier, the participating site’s origin, measurement start date, last activity time, expiry, and approved creative impression/click events. It does not collect your email, private prompts, full browsing history, device fingerprint, page queries or location. The identifier is stored on the site where you consent, expires after 30 days, and is stored only as a hash by Roseram.

How impressions are counted

An impression means at least half of a supported widget was visible for one second. Reports can include test traffic or automated clients; they are not independently verified ad-network metrics.

Optional browser extension

Roseram Discover is a separate, opt-in desktop extension that matches promotions locally to interests you choose, on websites you explicitly enable. Its default local totals are not uploaded. If you also allow anonymous performance reporting, a separate 30-day identifier is stored in extension storage. The report contains creative impressions and clicks, without the visited page URLs, your interests, or your Roseram account identity. Turn off reporting in the extension to request deletion. Turning off all promotions removes its registered placements.

Contextual keyword ads

Publisher-installed scripts and the optional browser extension can match commercial phrases in an article locally to Roseram promotions. Page text and matched words are not uploaded. Keyword links are labeled Ad and can be hidden. Publishers can exclude regions or phrases, limit link counts, or deny placements. Contextual display does not enroll you in a behavioral audience; performance reporting follows the site’s measurement preference and browser privacy signals.

Devices and websites

Each site and browser has its own identifier and measurement preference. We do not use this system to identify you across devices or inject ads into websites that have not installed Roseram widgets. Staff can see aggregate reporting, not an audience contact list.

Retention

Audience membership expires after 30 days. Expired membership and events are removed by scheduled cleanup. Opting out removes the related record immediately when the server is reachable. A daily opt-out count remains without your identifier.

This system does not automatically enroll you in Google, YouTube or Meta advertising audiences.
