Copilot’s leverage is Windows and Microsoft 365 adjacency. Grok’s leverage is distribution inside X. Meta AI’s leverage is WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook reach—especially outside the US.
TechCrunch and The Verge coverage this season keeps returning to the same tension: a model can win Arena samples and still lose the default slot that determines daily queries.
What we still do not know
Public metrics rarely separate casual novelty chats from habitual work queries. Until retention cohorts are disclosed with method, “most used assistant” headlines remain marketing-adjacent.
